Ernesto: Ernesto Guevara, better known by his pseudonym “Che Guevara” or “El Che”, was born in 1928 in Argentina. A revolutionary and politician, he was one of the symbols of the Cuban Revolution alongside Fidel Castro. At times a great romantic, he was also a cigar lover, believing that smoking them was his “only vice” and a gift from heaven. In a hotel of Havana, under the fixed sun of the Revolution: the fierce and partisan overtones of leather and tobacco meddle with the paneling’s waxen silence. In the cool dimness, fawn grimaces shimmer along with the smoke of cigars and the barrels of guns.
About Trudon: The oldest candle maker in the world began in 1643 when Claude Trudon became the owner of a boutique on the rue Saint Honoré where he developed his activity as a grocer and candler. His candles were purchased to light parishes and homes. Thus, in the early days of Louis the 14th’s reign, Claude Trudon created a manufacturing company that would make his family’s fortune. Trudon supplied Versailles up to the last days of the Ancient Regime and in 1811 supplied Napoleon and his imperial court.
